UPL Argyle is a broad-spectrum insecticide specifically designed for Soybean and Cotton. It offers systemic and contact action as it interferes with nicotinic acetylcholine receptors and disrupts the normal functioning of sodium channels in the insect's nerve membranes, causing paralysis and death of the pests. The UPL Argyle insecticide offers strong resistance management with broad-spectrum control, making it highly effective.

Key Features and Benefits of Argyle Insecticide:

  • Resistance Management: UPL Argyle insecticide offers a combinational formula that makes it tough for pests to develop resistance.

  • Long-Lasting Control: The Argyle insecticide offers extended systemic residual protection, reducing the need for frequent applications.

  • Broad-Spectrum: UPL Argyle insecticide provides strong protection against both sucking and chewing pests.

  • Easy Application: The WG formulation of Argyle insecticide rapidly dissolves in water, eliminating spillage and dust during handling.

Argyle Insecticide Uses — What Does It Control?

Argyle Insecticide Uses cover both sucking and chewing pest categories across both registered crops:

  • Sucking Pests: Whitefly (Bemisia tabaci), Aphids, Jassids, Thrips

  • Chewing and Boring Pests: Bollworms (American, Pink, Spotted), Girdle Beetle, Semi Looper, Spodoptera litura (Tobacco Caterpillar)

  • Registered Crops: Cotton and Soybean (Kharif season)

UPL Argyle Dose — Recommended Dose:

The Argyle Insecticide Dose Per Litre is 0.5 gm per litre of water — equivalent to 10 gm per 15L pump and 100 gm per acre in 200 litres of water.

How To Use UPL Argyle Insecticide:

  1. Measure the required dose of Argyle insecticide as per the crop-wise dose table above — 0.5 gm per litre of water.

  2. Pre-dissolve the WG granules in a small amount of clean water and stir until fully dissolved before adding to the sprayer tank.

  3. Fill the tank with the remaining clean water — 200 litres per acre — and mix well before spraying.

  4. Apply as a uniform foliar spray covering all plant surfaces — upper and lower leaf surfaces and stems — for maximum contact and systemic coverage.

  5. Apply at the recommended crop-specific timing — 40–45 days after sowing in Cotton and 20–25 days after sowing in Soybean during the Kharif season.

  6. Spray during early morning or late evening — avoid peak midday heat and active bee foraging hours as Bifenthrin is toxic to bees.

  7. Do not mix with strongly alkaline chemicals — always perform a jar test before combining UPL Argyle with unfamiliar products.

  8. Wash hands and all exposed skin thoroughly with soap and water after every spray session.

Best Time to Apply:

Apply Argyle insecticide in the early morning or late evening. The optimal application windows are 40–45 days after sowing for Cotton and 20–25 days after sowing for Soybean — timing UPL Argyle at these crop stages gives the strongest early-season pest control results during the Kharif growing period.

Frequency of Application and Re-Entry Period:

  • Frequency of Application: Apply at the recommended Kharif sowing-based timing. Argyle insecticide provides quick knockdown and long-lasting residual control — repeat as needed based on field scouting. Do not exceed 2–3 applications per season. Always rotate with products from different IRAC groups after every 2 applications to maintain resistance management.

  • Re-Entry Period: Do not enter treated fields for at least 24 hours after spraying without proper protective gear.

  • Tank-Mix Compatibility: UPL Argyle is compatible with most insecticides and fungicides. Always perform a jar test before mixing with unfamiliar products. Avoid mixing with alkaline products.

Safety Precautions and Handling:

  • Wear gloves, goggles, and a face mask before handling or spraying Argyle insecticide.

  • Do not eat, drink, or smoke during mixing or application.

  • Avoid direct contact with skin and eyes — rinse immediately with clean water for 15 minutes if contact occurs.

  • Toxic to bees — do not spray during active bee foraging hours or near beehives and flowering crops.

  • Toxic to aquatic organisms — avoid spray drift near ponds, rivers, or fish farms.

  • Keep children, pets, and livestock away from treated fields for at least 24 hours.

  • Wash hands and all exposed skin thoroughly after using UPL Argyle.

  • Triple rinse empty containers, puncture, and dispose of per local waste guidelines.

Storage Instructions:

  • Store Argyle insecticide in its original sealed packaging in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat.

  • Keep away from food, animal feed, and seeds.

  • Store out of reach of children and farm animals.

  • Storage Temperature: Below 35°C.

  • Shelf Life: As indicated on the product label.
